Obverse View no4

By Jeannie Driver 2015

Dimensions
65 x 65 x 5.5

This work appears different when viewed from the right or left. Created from waste publicity leaflets. I'm repeatedly redrawn to the circle, the sphere, as a tidy symbol of my confusion, an emotional response to make sense of my world. These works are notions of a totality of wholeness, lines have meaning, reformed knowledge, subtracted values to bind, restrict and protect. These works sit between abstract and representational. The overall form abstract, whilst the material maintains references and connections to its original functionality.
