Combining cartography with an elevated perspective, the scale I have used to map back the landscape onto the canvas creates a sense of place that is anamorphic and unfamiliar. The colour palette is inspired by a particular map of London and the identity of the place becomes embedded within the painted surface and is subsequently revealed and explored through it's surface of line and colour.
