Partied Out

By  Helen Grant 2024

Partied Out comprises thirteen red pendants stapled to rough wooden battens, standing in a painted galvanised dustbin.

The colour red is associated with both passion and danger and, in contemporary parlance, red flags refer to behaviours or traits that should rule out a prospective partner.

Historically the symbol of anarchists and socialists, 'bloody' red flags were also used by pirates to denote a fight to the death. In this instance they've been binned, hence whatever they represented is discarded.
