Pasiphaë Three

By  Susan Banks 2018

Dimensions
50 x 50 x 4

Pasiphaë Three is a variation on a theme suggesting a faded, reconstructed and revised visual reality and alludes to Knossos and Minoan artefacts in Heraklion Archaeological Museum. This painting uses the labyrinthine design of a Cretan coin from the Fitzwilliam Museum in order to reference a maze without picturing one. Oil on deep canvas.
