Piano Duet 1

Projected video footage of a piano being butchered with various hand and power tools is triggered live with foot pedals in synchronisation with improvised tonal piano performance . The sound of the piano being played, is altered through time based digital processes (stutter, delay and reverberation) before being amplified and blended with the aggressive audio from the video footage. The piece is a duet between the piano being played in the present and the piano being destroyed in the past. The piece does not have a fixed structure and can last from 10 to 20 minutes.
