Pillow talk & Afternoon tea

By  Henny Burnett 2020
Both projection pieces were made during lockdown and are viewed as a pair of juxtaposed images; the female gaze and the male nude. In 'Pillow Talk' a 35mm slide is projected onto an old pillowcase that was part of an Austrian émigré's wedding dowry, a man's body/skin blends into the folds of the fabric, a pillowcase that holds generations of pillow talks. Size: 50cmx30cmx2cm. The second projection is 'Afternoon tea' a 1960s found slide projected onto pink latex folded over a chair. Size: 90cmx40cmx35cm.
