pink angel capturing the light

Inspired by the art world's reaction to William De Kooning's "Pink Angels", this work is entitled "Pink Angel Capturing the Light". Made to fit within the gallery window of A Brooks Art, the translucent central form metaphorically and literally "captures the light". The form of the piece, opening-out toward the viewer, does not shy away from its suggestive connotations which are apparent in its final form. Using electric pink and a myriad of other colours, it seeks to convey a flamboyance, even a decorative quality.
