Pink cords, Orange circles & Painful pins

By  Henny Burnett 2020
Pink chords, Orange circles & Painful pins is cast from single use plastic packaging that once held pink salmon mousse, entomologist pins are added like legs of an insect and an umbilical cord of pink silk tread joins the two half spheres. The work plays with the ambiguity of outcome and interpretation – it is both playful and sinister. The work was selected for the Pyramid Open Show 2021 Online Exhibition. Selected artists responded to a sensory call out, comprised of the colour orange, the word ouch! and the sound of pink noise. The show was supported by Leeds Inspired and HM Government in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund. www.pyramid.org.uk/open-show
