"Platelayer Snow Spires".

By  Tim Pugh 2016
This intervention was created in an old railway maintaince hut next to an old railway line converted into a cycle way, near Rowrah,West Cumbria.I view this space as a temporary alternative venue in which to create artworks and use the main window ledge to exhibIt the results to passers by.For this artwork I took advantage of a sudden fall of snow to create delicate snow spires. The artwork took several hours to create and it was a race against time as the snow was thawing causing the spires to topple.Cyclists and walkers frequently stopped to chat and take photographs and I envisage using this alternative space for future self initiated projects.
