Plaza

Plaza is a temporary site specific commission for the side of Whitehaven Civic Hall. The piece responds to the particular architectural character of the building and the public spaces that are incorporated within it. The 6 frames were already installed, so this was the format that I had to work within. However I wanted to make something that was more 3 rather than 2 dimensional. I also wanted to unite all the frames as one piece. Treating the frames as windows onto a different space allowed me to play with the illusion of space and 3 dimensionality.
