Post-it Portraits

Ink drawing, photocopy on acetate.
I am interested in the relationship between person and place. Rather than portray an 'objective' likeness of the individual or the landscape, images are built up combining layers of drawings or materials to generate new forms.
Self portraits drawn on individual sheets in packs of post-it notes reduce the ‘self’ to thumbnail size. Multiple thumbnail sized drawings photcopied onto a single sheet of acetate make the individual even less defined. The transparency and reflectiveness of the acetate bring the viewer, wall and context into the picture with the individual.
