'Power in the Mixed' is a 7-minutes, multi-cam film
‘Power In The Mixed’ captivates the audience with storytelling and elegance. A Regency-era female stands, directing and verbalizing an experience of a time when Britain was living off the profits of colonialism. She is a rebel who lives this very day. Her elegant storytelling captivates the audience, and this is no ordinary narrative - her impeccable, high-society spoken English towards the latter part of her linguistic dialect twists to modern, common, and contemporary themes. This film questions how we identify ourselves, living in the Midlands where Windrush and South Asians moved to work for Great Britain. Has much changed for people who are the fastest-growing population? Do mixed-race people identify with their cultural heritage, or must we forge our own path? A multi-camera film, filmed at Stratford-Upon-Avon studio.
