Raindrops, 2024. Silver, cuttlefish bone, human hair, notebook fragments, painting & natural objects.
Raindrops are the clouds made liquid. They are the sky making its presence known. These hair charms are a recycled sterling silver version of the pieces of sky that have been landing on my hair and skin all winter. The materials speak to ideas around transformation of states (gas - liquid - solid), an embodied connection with nature, and the potential of an intuitive process to making.
This assemblage situates the body and the natural world as collaborative partners in the quest for knowing.
