Painting, Oil on found wood,
This work is inspired by decommissioned Corus steelworks in Scunthorpe. Corus steel came to be rebranded as Tata Steel which is an interesting link with India, my homeland. The text 'Queen Victoria' which appeared on an image of the steel works has been replaced by 'Rani Victoria', 'rani' meaning queen in Bengali, my mother tongue.
