Realities Six

Oil on deep canvas. In Realities Six there is a touch of "Mise en Abyme". Here is a digital image of a photo of a painting of an idea generated by a Roman Painting of an idea of a door that was never a real door. The material painting however is real. It celebrates some of the things that can happen in painting and is one of several responses to the complex visual stimulus of Roman painting in situ.
