In 1966, artist Ivor Davies met Marcel Duchamp.Duchamp had met Matisse, Matisse had met Monet and Monet had met Courbet. In 1857, Courbet painted 'The Meeting'. Visitors to 'Reception were 6 degrees, physically from this artwork and linked to the development of Modern and Contemporary Art. Names were recorded of those who attended, there would have been atoms from 1857 somewhere in the space. Publication pending.
