DESERT FRAGMENTS This collection draws on sketches, colour notes, photos and memory of a journey through northern Arizona in 2009. Each a digital print on to a unique collage of layered paper, silk and recycled fragments. The pieces have a waxed surface are mounted by being stitched on to PVC board which allows them to be left unglazed. Printed by the artist using Abaca paper, Habotai silk and Epson Ultrachrome Pigmented Inks. Panels : Each panel is waxed, then sewn on to PVC board and backed on to similar board, eliminating the need for glass.

Deep Series Thoughts about the limitless formless weight which is the sea. Different blues are layered. Pages are layered, with embedded shapes of dyed pattern, and metalic paper strips. Pages are printed, then added shapes are over printed to increase depth of colour and contrast. Embedded shapes are revealed through the ink jet printed layers when the page is waxed.
