Repetitive Form #3

By  Silke Dettmers 2022 - 2023

Corrugated card, wallpaper; plinth: acrylic mirror.

This monolith, on inspection, is revealed to be a lie. 'The Emperor's Clothes' was an instructive childhood tale.

I remain interested in the overlooked and discarded, and how a change of scale and material can result in the illusion of power and value. The starting point for this work was provided by the packaging for an unknown product.
