River Lea

The River Lea flows towards the Thames, about a mile from my house. Here, the Lea's nature reserve, at Batford Springs, is the site of regular walks throughout the seasons with my golden retriever. We discover the weir, a sluice gate, stepping stones, shallows, bridges and the chalk stream - all which respond to our appetite for adventure.
