Room for London 1

2012
Room for London , a Living Architecture project,is a boat structure sited on top of the QE Hall, part of the Southbank Centre in London . During March 2012 I spent a night on the boat and made a series of 10 watercolours describing the arc from the houses of Parliament to the Shard building. The work was made in 2 x 2 hour sessions; the first in the late afternoon ,the following from early morning the next day.
I used the two decks as the vantage point for what must be one of the most spectacular views in London.
