School Daze
Dimensions
20cm x 20cm
School Daze depicts my daughter before school.
I wanted to capture the acquired malaise that is so common place in the morning routine of getting ready for school.
The perspective I chose creates a sense of intimacy and everyday life, reflecting a casual, unposed moment. It also references the maternal viewpoint.
As with previous paintings I love to include the random ephemera of life that finds itself in our living spaces. In this instance a strimmer and broom.
