"Sea Glass Mirror".

By  Tim Pugh 2020
The artwork is a small mixed media installation created on a boulder at South Beach,Whitehaven in West Cumbria. The mirror is comprised of gathered beach glass arranged within an iron ore drawing of a mirror frame. The frame was scratched onto the boulder surface using an iron ore pebble left over from a slag heap cliff on the beach. The unstable cliffs contain waste products left over from former mining activity .The drawing is superimposed next to stone fissures and discolouration, adding to the overall composition.
