This sculpture forms the centrepiece of a series of commissions at a college campus where I was lead artist. It functions as a social gathering point and seating area, a sundial and as a visual focus for the campus. It uses abstract references to the human form to represent our capacity to learn and create. It also uses symbols from eastern and western culture to represent differing approaches to learning.
