Self Portrait with Jenga

Antony Clarkson

'Self Portrait with Jenga' was one of the first pieces that I completed whilst as Artist-in-Residence at Cow House Studios in Ireland in 2011. When I went out on the residency I deliberatly took very few materials with me, it was my intention to 'play' with whatever I found around me, to make works which were tied specifically to the locale and the experience. This nature of play lead quickly to a series of experimental installations using whatever was to hand.
