This collage began with a Victorian postcard, a delicate nude turned defiant goddess. I often work from vintage images, drawn to the tension between how women were posed and how they might reclaim that gaze. Her teeth are sharp, her eyes almost mocking, but you’ll find them buried beneath layers of florals.
She’s part of The Wounded Garden, a collection exploring feminine power, stereotype, and ecofeminist resistance.
