Inspired by Norbert Wiener's Cybernetics and Jack Burnham's Systems Esthetics, the performance explores communication: digital infrastructure mediates rural discourse. Performed at North Stack, the site of an abandoned foghorn station in Holyhead, the work uses a piano wired to respond to pitch detected via microphone. The result is a communication and regulation cycle where a person adjusts, then the computer does. This reaches a point where neither can know who is regulating who.
