Silverbeach

This piece is a wallpaper created for Sanctuary Part 1 at National Museum of Kenya, Nairobi. The repeat pattern of the wallpaper is based on an assemblage of drawings on silver birch bark. The drawings were of discarded objects which had been collected from a beach whilst the silver birch bark had been collected from a woodland and flattened using a wallpaper steamer to work as a surface for drawing.
