Single Track Road

By  Lisa OBrien 2006

Dimensions
50 seconds

Driving down a remote single track road in the darkness of an early winter morning, I turn on the radio. Into the car comes the voice of an Iraqi woman relating her traumatic experience of living under the regime of Saddam Hussein, and in short bursts comes the voice of her translator recorded from the safety of BBC recording studio. 'Single Track Road' illustrates that we are not located in just one space. Our space is permeated by influences and links from across the world and in this case the political world.
