Six

Each month I studied a plant, observed, ruminated, and collected samples for the Lab, making inks, lakes, pigments. 
This series of small paintings is called ‘Seeing Our Unseen Friends’ - beginning with a ritual in the woods asking Spirits of the Woods to safely show themselves in the play of ink on paper. 

This Friend takes the hit, the blame, the arrow. Reminiscent of the Tarot Card, 10 of Wands, a card of suffering and the end of suffering. Six will cry the tears that need to be cried.
