Skin

By  Sue Mann 2018

This work closely examined the materiality of a single concrete brick through repetitive surface drawing. Concentrated working, observing the experience of drawing, revealed that each drawing was different, even slightly, not just from the impact of repetitive handling, but also from sensory engagement, a duality of touch in both reception and expression. The work was installed to enable a conversation between the layers when placed together in light.
