SLIDE TAPE

A publication that collects documentation, papers and discussions that emerged from exhibitions held at Vivid Projects, Birmingham and a symposium held at Loughborough University in 2013. These events offered an appraisal of this abandoned time-based media, featuring works made in the UK by artists during the 1970s and 1980s and through the Carousel residency, a new 'public' collective art work. Slide tape is both an addition to the archive and an insight into artist's work in this media.
