Small washing vows drawn with fingers

Plaster, ink, chalk, pencil
These drawings are made on blocks of pink plaster – the type of plaster used on interior walls. I drew them quickly, with my fingers dipped in ink. My fingers were stained with ink echoing the system used in some countries to register those who have voted. These quick drawings reference the daily relentless, ritual of washing and domestic chores, fleeting, invisible tasks and the vow of dedication to family.
