Soft Egg, Don't Wear It

Soft Egg, Don't Wear it is a collaborative exhibition by Emelia Kerr Beale, Johan Beavis-Berry, Jack Boal, Ronnie Danaher, Alice Hackney, and Oliver Ventress, at The Salthouse in Lincoln. Including film, sound installation, live performance of a game of bingo, the exhibition was a culmination of our time together on residency in Mablethorpe with UK New Artists New Artist Collective in June 2023. We had an immediate personal connection with the area and were interested in the people of rural spaces, how they interact with it, having conversations with people, building character and narrative. Specifically, we observed the relationship between the beach and the town and themes of time, memory and loss.
