Solar

Made using old and discarded watch parts, Solar seeks to capture an inexplicable moment in time. By suspending the watch parts motionless and apart from their contingents, the mechanics of time are meticulously frozen in this sculpture; in the space of the frame time has stopped, but outside its inevitability is inescapable. Robbed of all momentum, this moment become still; a relic of a phenomenon that was never allowed to happen.
