SOLWAY FROST

By Suzanne Davies 2015
A series of 13 small oils and collage on board, reflecting aspects of the dream like quality of the Solway Firth in winter. The boundary between North West England and South West Scotland, the Firth is reputed to be the least polluted estuary in Europe. A magical place of history and myth, changing light, saltmarsh and shifting sands, with the haunting calls of migrant geese in winter.
