Southwold, Sailor's Reading Room

By Diana Ashdown 2023
This jigsaw lino print is made of many small pieces and slotted together, hence the term jigsaw. I use this method so I can incorporate blended colours and a bigger aray of colour to my prints without the work becoming overworked. By cutting into the lino and using a white negative line I keep a freshness and delicacy to the print. I really enjoyed working out the colours on this print which is for sale and depicts the wonderful seaside town of Southwold in Suffolk, I am exhibiting with others at the wonderful Craftco in September this year 2023
