This piece was commissioned to represent the work of the Soil Security Programme. A research programme designed to survey and advise on the good management of diverse UK soils. From agricultural lands to peat bogs.
The painting is painted in Soil, which has been dried, ground and mixed with linseed oil to form a paint.
The image contrasts the wild hedgerow with field of wheat.
