Stetching The Line

Over four days Jeannie Driver installed new sculptural and 'unfixed' drawings and collaborated with film maker Anna Cady to explore relationships the process, performance and film. The residency based in a shopfront gallery resulted in creating a new series of film works, Moving Stills. The films and drawings where shared at the Q&A. This activity is part of Jeannie's DYCP ACE award. This work is a development of the 'Lifting the Drawing off the Page' series of works and is an ongoing experimental process with measurements, rules, and systems applied to create new forms relating to space and the body. The works sit at the intersection between drawing, installation and sculpture - photography and film. The materials for this series of work have been re-appropriated from a previous site-specific installation, 'Lines of Passage', that in itself was created from waste paper documents from SAC. This ethos of re-processing material from one artwork to another is an integral part of Jeannie’s practice, relating to the cyclical nature of materials and repetitious and work, both themes Jeannie reflects on as analogies for life. "One is a responsibility, the other a reflection"
