The most recent of a series of reconstructed watercolours (torn and re-assembled in layers) which play on ideas of time, impermanence, radical shifts and breakages, boundaries, conflict and continuity, they are influenced by personal as well as political events. They refer to a place in the Derbyshire landscape which itself has been the site of massive geological events and is now as with all rural districts in the UK, a place of embattled and threatened livelihoods, contentious politics and environmental fragility.
