Story Veils: Unheard Female Voices on Domestic Abuse

Story Veils was a year-long ACE funded project, providing space for women to walk and explore their experiences with domestic abuse in conversation with (me) artist Vicky Price. Two relocated women under police protection chose to wear their cloaks and be photographed during the exhibition, the only time they have felt safe. The silk cloaks protected anonymity giving them the confidence to be seen. The cloaks are screen printed with landscape and unedited conversations. This is a outward protest and not created for sympathy.
