'Strand' solo show. Ferens Gallery Hull. March/May 2000. One of series of works based on interface of land and sea. Each comprises several hundred photo fragments 'collected' at various stages of tide. North East Yorkshire coast. Strand represents the evasive line of interchange of sea and land. The work is as much about the nature of photography as it is the nature of the interface. The meeting of opacity and translucency, fluid and static elements.
