Surface

UPVC strips are made into circles and placed on the floor. This emulates its intended use as display boxes and support rings for soft cakes and other ready made foods. The reflective surfaces throw light back onto the floor suggesting residue marks such as cup rings, a party aftermath, drink spills in a bar. From other views it gleams highlighting the shapes, like polished pots and pans, shining kitchen ware, then again barely there, almost vapor. This relates to the exhibition space which used for functions with a special catering kitchen.
