SURVEILLANCE

By Phil Whiting 2009

I made this acrylic, ink and PVA on paper painting when I was focusing on ‘The Troubles’ in Northern Ireland as part of my project ‘Places of Mourning in the Western World’. It seems to me that the painting could equally apply as a visual metaphor for the surveillance culture we now all live in today.
