Suspendere

Suspendere - A “core sample” 30cm cubed is suspended within a 120cm cubed steel frame, which hangs from a single point and is held under tension by a cast iron weight. The connections created by the hemp ropes and shackles create a feeling of tension perhaps even a sense of conflict. Increasing pressure on the earth’s natural resources and our never ending desire for more of everything, weighs heavy on the planet.
