Swim

This is a site responsive artwork made for the Harrow Arts Centre Gallery. On site next to the arts centre is a swimming pool used by various groups. This work keys into that aspect as well as curiously linking to the some of the swimming pool work of David Hockney. Strips of blue and white paper are suspended from the ceiling and taped to the floor. The cutting of the folded paper creates slight wiggles suggesting ripples in water. The work had a delightful and refreshing feel, almost as if you could dive in.
