T.E.A

Developing links with business to create opportunities for participatory arts projects that open up a dialogue on issues that are important forthe development of trade, environment and art, focussing on questions about sustainability and building communities. Using the connections to make socially engaged work with local communities. Most of the projects are about exploring the histories and stories of the workplaces that the work is made or the work and lives of people who engage in the projects. The gabion is currently the structure around which these creative making conversations happen. They are projects which encourage communities to come together to tell their stories through selecting objects that have significance to them or would otherwise be discarded. The works become places to revisit to be archaeologists exploring the treasures buried in the structure. Each structure is then planted, this adds a dimension of sharing, growth and renewal. The objects and stories becoming immersed in the on-going cycles of nature. These works are also reminders of lives lived and how we discard and let go of meaning, creating new meaning and sharing through oral stroytelling things that are of importance. We have undertaken these projects in Wildlife reserves, day centres and a workhouse
