‘Tensor’ is part of ‘Surface tension’, a solo show at the Harley Gallery, Nottinghamshire. The work is a direct response to the architectural features of the Gallery and its courtyard garden where the artist has created several ‘interventions’ that react to the different types of surface in the space, exploring the notion of cause and effect and interrupting the spatial layout. The result is a series of tectonic anomalies that appear to have a structural or functional purpose but are in fact anti-function, yet not apparently decorative. Dimensions: Six parts each 90cm x 300cm x 153cm
