The Fabric of Time, exhibition

By Caroline Dear 2013
This solo exhibition explored the nature of time. Time is not a fixed concept, it hovers expanding and contracting at will. I am interested in visually exploring different ways of viewing this nebulous construct. Using the actual materials of the land – plants and peat and responding to the physical space I made a series of works; photographs, hand sewn text, woven pieces. This exhibition includes two specific installations; one a seven layered peat wall painting and the other a fragile grass ‘curtain’. see my website for more information
