North Norfolk Exhibition Project

Site-specific installation using glass, light and shadows within Salthouse Church - a light and airy church on the north Norfolk coast. It uses materials found at the church, sandblasted imagery of 16th Century graffiti in the choir stalls and glass etched with found portraits spanning the last 200 years. The shadows cast by the faces etched on the domestic vessels are transitory and pass through the space as the sun moves. The work explores the role of the church in the daily life of the villagers and the residue they in turn have left in the building.
