The Key to Transcedence

It is believed that these ceremonial goblets were used in an ancient rite and practiced by seasoned warriors to begin the crossing over into the next realm. Two battle-hardened leaders would take the journey to a new kingdom together by drinking a hallucinogenic potion made from a psychoactive fungus. This potion would be poured liberally into the goblets and a variant of an Anglo-Saxon symbel would be performed. The warriors would link arms, chant and swiftly drink down the potion in the vessels before thrusting the spike at the end of the goblet into the head of the warrior opposite. It was supposed that this began their simultaneous passage to the battles of the next world; The Key to Transcendence.
